Applying to Schedule/Fund a Colloquium or Seminar Speaker
The Speaker Request Form is needed for any colloquium talk, and for any seminar talk requesting funding. The Wire Reimbursement Form is needed from any speaker approved for reimbursement.
Fill out the Speaker Request Form at least 4 weeks in advance and send to Henry and Margaret. If the speaker is approved for funding, then have them send the Wire Reimbursement Form (from “Name of Account Holder” to “Bank Routing Number”) to Margaret soon afterwards.
The Visitors and Colloquium Committee will review your request and make a recommendation to the Chair of the Department about funding.
Seminar speakers are scheduled with the individual seminar. For Colloquium speakers, check the current schedule for open dates. Additional useful information is contained on the Hosts Info and Speakers Info pages.

Note that typically each faculty member can receive support for one colloquium speaker or two seminar speakers ($900 max) in each academic year. Also, faculty with active funding are expected to contribute a good portion of their visitor’s expenses.
