Professor Vincent Vatter has been awarded a grant from the NSF Division of Undergraduate Education for his project, “Artificial Intelligence for Humanizing and Enhancing the Learning of Proofs,” starting August 1, 2024.
This project will explore how AI can improve undergraduate students’ proof-writing skills. As part of the Level II IUSE Engaged Student Learning track, the research will investigate methods for providing students with timely, research-based feedback on their proofs. It will also examine how AI can assist faculty in enhancing traditional teaching methods.
