UF Students Recognized at 2024 Mathematical Contest in Modeling
Five teams containing a total of 15 UF undergraduate students participated in the 2024 COMAP Mathematical/Interdisciplinary Contest in Modeling (MCM/ICM) held February 1-5. Each team was designated as a “Successful Participant.”
Two of the teams worked on the Resource Availability and Sex Ratios problem, one team worked on the Searching for Submersibles problem, and two teams worked on the Momentum in Tennis problem.

The teams were mentored by faculty coach Tracy Stepien, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, and graduate students Tharusha Bandara, Gillian Carr, Xiaochen Duan, and Hemaho Taboe.
