We are pleased to announce that our Math major Muhammad Abdulla was awarded an NSF graduate research fellowship. Muhammad did an internship in his senior year at the National Institute of Health with Dr. Jeffrey Smith studying networks of respiratory neurons, and a research project in his junior year with Dr. Tracy Stepien on a vertex model of astrocyte migration. He will be entering the graduate program in Electrical Engineering at Stanford in the fall.
