Course description

This course continues from MAA 5228: it covers material from Chapters 6 (the Riemann integral, but in Darboux form),7/8 (uniform convergence and equicontinuity, with the Stone-Weierstrass and Arzela-Ascoli theorems and applications) and 11 (the Lebesgue integral).
There will be four equally-weighted written tests during the semester, at intervals of three or four weeks. In addition, there will be written homework assignments at regular intervals throughout the semester, the combined assignments being weighted equally with a test. Grades will be based on performance in either four tests or three tests and collected homeworks.
Makeup tests will be given for the usual documented reasons.

Test dates

Provisionally, as follows:
Test 1: 05 February
Test 2: 26 February
