Associate Professor Cheng Yu has been awarded a three-year NSF research grant for his project “Compactness and Convergence in Compressible Euler Equations: A Rigorous Approach,” starting August 2025.
The project will develop new analytical techniques for nonlinear PDEs to study the transition from compressible to incompressible flow and the influence of quantum effects on solution structure and stability. It will advance the theory of hyperbolic and dispersive systems and support graduate training in mathematical analysis and applied PDEs.
Congratulations to Prof. Yu!
